About Life Planned
Hi, I’m Lizzie, the founder of Life Planned. I built this relocation planning tool for UK residents moving abroad, while planning my own move to Australia. I know how quickly an exciting idea can turn into a long list of questions, deadlines and things you’re worried you might forget.
My background is in digital marketing, but this project started with a very personal need: somewhere to turn all that research into a practical plan. I wanted more than generic advice about starting a new life. I wanted to know which visa steps to work through, what to budget for, and what needed to go on my checklist before I left.
That’s what Life Planned is here to help with. It brings the practical parts of a move together, so you can focus on the next step rather than trying to keep everything in your head. It covers Australia, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, France, Greece and the USA.
I research the guides using official sources and update them when rules change. Immigration requirements can change, and everyone’s circumstances are different, so I’d always encourage you to check the relevant official guidance before making an application or committing to a move. If you spot something that needs correcting, I’d love to hear from you.
